I HAVE A DIFFERENT APPROACH AND PERSPECTIVE to treating asthma and allergy because of my personal journey. I had severe asthma as a child and it controlled my life. Once I identified dust mites as my key trigger, my world (and my lungs) opened up. I was able to modify my asthma and go 95% into remission. Then 99% remission once I learned about functional medicine and the transformative role of lifestyle changes. Medical problems, specifically allergies, should not be compartmentalized as they are often interrelated. Immunotherapy changed my life and functional medicine has gotten me to the next level. I always like to think outside the box and utilize the latest innovations, which is why we are the first (and still only) allergy practice in Rhode Island providing sublingual immunotherapy (allergy drops).
Now, with the addition of Dr. Malik, we are the first practice to provide food desensitization for our patients.
