APPRI Staff


As specialists in the treatment of allergy related problems, we emphasizes personal attention and education with focus in the treatment of allergy related problems such as asthma, allergies, hives, allergic reactions, bee sting reactions, eczema and sinus problems.

We also participate with Institutional Review Board approved studies, typically sponsored by pharmaceutical companies. Our participation in clinical research trials allows us to further advance our expertise in the asthma and allergy field. .

  John Franklin Zwetchkenbaum, M.D.

Dr. John Zwetchkenbaum received his allergy and asthma training at the world renown National Jewish Center in Denver, Colorado. He is a clinical instructor at Brown University Medical School and has been repeatedly voted a "Top Doc" in RI Monthly Magazine. Dr. Zwetchkenbaum is also involved in clinical research studies to keep him on edge with the latest advances in his field.
    Barrie Weisman, M.D.

Dr. Barrie Weisman, was previously staff allergist at Harvard Community Health Care in Rhode Island, and joined Dr. Zwetchkenbaum in 2000. Dr. Weisman is patient focused and is especially interested in skin allergies and allergic reactions. It is said he can be a sleuth at determining the root cause of the problem.
 
 

Toby Weiser, PAC
Toby F. Weiser has been with us since 2003. She brings 3 years of otolaryngology expertise and is very sensitive and patient focused. She has already made our patients feel as if she was always there.

    Amanda H. Matteson, PAC
Amanda Matteson joined AAPRI in 2006 as a certified physician assistant. Amanda’s personable approach has been a welcome addition to the staff, and children simply love her!
 
 

Nancy Pirraglia, L.P.N.
Nurse Nancy Pirraglia has been with the practice over 15 years and "knows allergy". Patients enjoy her calming touch.

       

Although there are several locations, all of the AAPRI staff may be seen at any one of the AAPRI locations.
